Barb resides north of the Twin Cities in Minnesota, with her husband Jim of 45 years. Barb is an RN, ran an alternative health clinic for 17 years and now has a health and wellness business utilizing phototherapy technology. Jim is a doctor of chiropractic and Senator. Together, they raised six boys and have three more children who were lost due to stillbirth and two miscarriages.

A turning point in their lives was losing their fourth son Josiah, to an epileptic seizure at age 22. The loss is great, but they know that God is in control and will make all things new as He has promised in His Word. Barb understands the devastation and her heart relates to others who have experienced the loss of a child or baby. She honors her son and babies through serving on the Missing GRACE Board, and as the Foundation’s Hospital Liaison to ensure parents receive the needed resources and support when they suffer a loss. She has found that helping others is healing for deep-seated waves of grief.  

Barb enjoys the beach, reading, learning, rebounding, and strength training, to be able to keep up with her nine grandchildren!. The Lord is her Rock and strength for everything.
