Missing GRACE Foundation has been a place of connection, healing and hope since 2002, for people navigating the heartbreak of loss on their family building journey.

Our mission is to provide resources and support for families who are grieving, following a pregnancy loss, infant loss, infertility, or adoption challenges.

Five core areas encompass the heart of our mission as we help people to Grieve, Restore, Arise, Commemorate and Educate.

  • Grieve in healthy ways by giving comfort, support, resources and opportunities to grieve together.

  • Restore holistically in a person’s emotional, relational, physical and spiritual health.

  • Arise from the ashes - the dark place of deep sorrow and receive hope for a brighter day.

  • Commemorate loved ones in heaven - validating the significance of each life.

  • Educate through providing literature, classes, community outreach programs and events.

Missing GRACE Foundation (MGF) is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Public Charity that provides:

  • GRACE Care Packages

    • GRACE Care Packages– Comforting and time sensitive materials created to guide, inform, empower and equip parents who are experiencing a pregnancy or infant loss in the hospital or at home, whether by miscarriage, stillbirth, prematurity, SIDS, VIDS, or the baby is receiving palliative or hospice care.

    • Solace Care Packages–A heartwarming gift to give a grieving mom in her first year after losing her baby.

    • Tailor Made Care Package – A customized gift for parents and their children in the first years after a pregnancy or infant loss.

  • Resources & Support

    • A Resource Center in St. Michael, Minnesota – A place to receive support and resources, attend support groups, classes, and counseling appointments, purchase bereavement materials - including GRACE Care Packages, check out a book from the MGF library, and volunteer. Stop in! We are OPEN from 11 am to 4 pm CST the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays monthly.

    • Support - GRACE Support Groups (in person and via Zoom), pastoral counseling, couple sessions with our founders, Stephen & Candy McVicar, or professional preconception counseling.

    • Resources for Pregnancy & Infant Loss – Ongoing support and meaningful connections for bereaved parents, family, friends, and expectant parents.

    • Resources for Fertility & Adoption Challenges – Guidance for holistic and healing ways to achieve pregnancy, referrals to providers and resources for couples going through fertility challenges or considering adoption.

  • Professional Services

    • Resources for Care Professionals Providing a comprehensive bereavement program including GRACE Care Packages and follow up care for patients experiencing a perinatal loss, continuing education classes for medical staff, and support for Care Professionals directly involved with clients and patients before, during and after experiencing a pregnancy or infant loss.

    • Pastoral Care Ministry & Prayer – Our co-founder, Stephen McVicar, is a pastor who would love to pray with you and provide spiritual encouragement.

    • Professional Preconception Counseling – Book a consultation session with Dr. Harry Farb, a medical doctor with 57 years of experience, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology with additional expertise in maternal and fetal medicine.

  • Memorial & Healing

    • Holding On To Love After You’ve Lost A Baby: The 5 Love Languages® For Grieving Parents - Our co-founder, Candy McVicar, co-wrote a book with Dr. Gary Chapman to help couples who are facing the unimaginable.

    • Memorial Page - A place to remember our babies in heaven. Add your baby’s name and birthdate.

  • On & Off Site Events

    • Events - Created to help grieving infertile and adoptive families heal and find hope we come together to – Grieve, Restore, Arise, commemorate & Educate.

    • Volunteer Project Day - Get together with other crafters the 1st Wednesday of every month from noon to 3 PM at the Resource Center.
