SUPPORT GROUPS
A GRACE Support Group is a safe place to find community with others who have experienced a pregnancy or infant loss. The groups are open to the grieving parents and grandparents who are looking to work through grief in healthy ways, and to commemorate their precious babies who left this world too soon.
GRACE Support Groups, in-person or via Zoom, meet either once a month or twice a month for two hours at each meeting. Meetings start with introductions and include a time of open discussion and sharing of individual stories.
Members have an opportunity to share any recent challenges they are working through or are anticipating as well as any areas of progress they have made in their journey. The facilitators at times hand out materials related to the member's needs and requests (i.e. marital issues, strained family and friend relationships, and difficult days on the calendar such as anniversaries, due dates and holidays.)
We’d love to expand and offer more opportunities. If you are interested in starting a GRACE Support Group in your area (training is provided), please contact us.

“As a grieving mom who experienced the stillbirth of my firstborn son, Matthew, I know how much it helps to have the support of others who care and can relate. Some of my closest friends today were met through the support groups I attended over the years after my son was born silently.”

PRECONCEPTION COUNSELING
Dr. Harry Farb, MD, is a medical doctor specializing in obstetrics and gynecology with additional expertise in maternal and fetal medicine. He focuses on caring for women throughout pregnancy, having managed thousands of high-risk pregnancies that require specialized monitoring and treatment. His dual specialization allows him to provide comprehensive care from routine gynecological services to complex maternal and fetal conditions that may arise during pregnancy. Dr. Farb received his medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Of his 57 years’ experience, 17 have been spent practicing locum tenens in Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) across several states, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota, Michigan, Kansas, Illinois, and Montana, which makes him familiar with regional differences in high-risk MFM practice.
Dr. Farb is volunteering his time and expertise to provide professional preconception counseling appointments to the families served by MGF. Parents who have suffered a pregnancy loss and/or have had a history of high-risk pregnancy and want to consult with Dr. Farb about future pregnancies, will find this counseling appointment helpful to determine next steps.
While the typical cost for such specialized counseling ranges from $100 to over $500 per session, Dr. Farb encourages his clients to make a tax-deductible donation to Missing GRACE in exchange for his services.
Missing GRACE is asking for a minimum non-refundable donation of $100 per 60-minute session to support the continuation of this work. You are welcome to give more if you feel led.
Your credit card will be charged upon completion of scheduling. If you are unable to make your appointment, give us at least 48 hours’ notice and we can reschedule for no additional fees.
You will also be expected to share your medical records with Dr. Farb. Directions on how to do so will be provided during the registration process.
Contact us if you have additional questions regarding the preconception counseling that you’d like to ask prior to registering.
