Silence, Inc. (IRIS)
Since 1987, IRIS has been offering parents, families, friends & professionals
support, education, and resources on the death of a child in early pregnancy
(miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, etc.), or from premature
birth, stillbirth, neo-natal death, birth defects, sudden infant death syndrome,
illness, accidents and all other types of infant and early childhood death.
When: Midday support group meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each
month from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm Evening support meetings are held on the
fourth Tuesday of each month from 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Meetings are open to all family members who are grieving the death of a child. There is no religious affiliation and no dues or fees. There is a free chapter lending library and a free newsletter. We offer a safe place for bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings to meet and talk freely about your child and your grief issues. No one is required to speak, but non-judgmental listening is expected.
